ABOUT THE TECHNOLOGY

A-Lub remains suspended in oils and greases without sedimentation due to its complex micellar structure.

A schematic illustration shows the action of micelles under boundary lubrication conditions as they absorb a copper tribofilm onto friction surfaces.

Mechanical energy contributes to the destruction of the micellar surfactant layer and the formation of a tribofilm.

A transmission electron microscope (TEM) image of copper “particles” in the A-Lub additive, contained within micelles in a stable colloid, demonstrates ideal dispersion.
Lubricants and oils incorporating A-Lub technology were tested between 2005 and 2012 according to directives from the Ministry of Railways of the Russian Federation and initiatives from Russian Railways (RZD).

Specialists from VNICTI (All-Russian Research and Design Technological Institute of Rolling Stock) conducted comparative testing of oils.
The tests were carried out at locomotive depots in Uzlovaya, Novomoskovsk, Bryansk-2, and Ryazan (Moscow Railway Division) as well as Ivanovo (Northern Railway Division).

More than 200 diesel locomotives of the series ChME3, 2M62U, 2TE10M, and their modifications participated in the experiments.
